Frequently Asked Questions
What's a typical dog walk like?
After picking up your dog, I take your pup for a walk around the neighborhood lasting somewhere between 30-45 minutes. On the walk, I pick up their poop, give them treats and generally have a great time. I’ll walk rain or shine, but not in thunderstorms. In that case, we’ll focus on inside play or some other mind activities. If it is too hot for your pup (some breeds can’t take the heat) I’ll cut the walk short.
What kind of dogs do you walk?
I walk leash trained dogs that are non-violent to other dogs and people. Though I have experience with many dogs, I’m simply not able to handle very large or aggressive dogs. That said, if your dog is not great on the leash but friendly, I can certainly throw a ball in your backyard, play around with them or just pick up the poop.
Backyard Poop? Yes, I'll do that too...
For an added charge of $5, I’ll pick up the poop in your backyard. You don’t want to do that do you?!?!
Do I need to be home?
No. I can have your key with me or you can give me the garage code. I do require that you have a contact number so that I can call you in the case of an emergency.
How often do you walk my dog?
Up to you! I can walk your dog as often as you like, but we will discuss the week’s schedule at the beginning of the week.
Are you a dog trainer?
No. I can’t train your dog to walk on a leash or to stop attacking squirrels. But I lived my whole life with Dobermans and Poodles so I’m familiar with basic training principles. Remember, the key to a happy dog (and your happy life) is a tired dog!
Pricing & Payment
What do you charge?
$15 per session which is usually 30 to 45 minutes of walking or play time. For an additional $5 ($10 for large yards), I’ll clean up your backyard poop. Everyone knows you hate doing it, so let me do it for you!
When do I pay?
On the Friday of each week, I will email or text the week’s bill. Payment is required upon the next dog walk, or I can swing by and pick it up.
What type of payment do you prefer?
Generally cash is best, but I can take PayPal or Venmo as well.
